A family run business... Established in 1978 as a paper recycler Russell Richardson has evolved into one of the UK's leading document management and confidential shredding companies. 

Still bearing the name of the founder unlike all the generic ‘Shred Something’s’ Russell Richardson is very proud of our focus on customer service, staff empowerment and job satisfaction and the fair treatment and loyalty shown to suppliers. 

Today, the company, still 100% controlled by the family and provides a variety of services such as on or off-site document shredding, document archiving, textile and uniform destruction, hard drive shredding (on and off-site), electronic media destruction and IT recycling. 

Although we like to destroy things we like to recycle as well. 100% of the paper we shred is sent back to the paper mills for manufacture into new tissue products thereby closing the loop, and as we are accredited to ISO 14001 we are constantly monitoring and improving our fleet performance statistics and energy usage. 

We also like to do our bit for charity and our fundraising has raised thousands of pounds for local and national charities.
