About Gerpins Lane Recycling Centre

Before visiting, please make sure you have read the information below. There may be long queues, so you should arrive well before closing time. 

Please do not visit an RRC if you have been tested positive for Covid-19

Bring a recent Council Tax statement or your driving licence (registered to an address in Barking & Dagenham, Havering, Newham or Redbridge) as proof of residence

Assistance to unload vehicles may not be available, so please bring someone with you to help if you require it

Children and animals must remain inside vehicles at all times

Please note that we are now able to accept larger vans and twin axle trailers carrying Household Waste at the Jenkins Lane and Frizlands Lane RRCs only. Light commercial-type vehicles (under 3,500kg maximum permissible mass) and single axle trailers are permitted at the Chigwell Road and Gerpins Lane RRCs if they are carrying household waste, or restricted household waste with authorisation from the resident’s Local Authority. If driving a van, you are asked to bring the vehicle’s V5C logbook to prove it is below this weight threshold and may be re-directed to the Jenkins Lane site if this is not the case.

No Luton Vans, flat bed vehicles, vans with tail lifts or tippers of any size are permitted to access any site at this time.
