George Street West tip is owned and operated by Blackburn Council. George Street West Recycling Centre is provided for householders to deposit and recycle household rubbish. Trade waste is not accepted at this centre. To ensure the exclusion of trade waste, certain vehicles are only permitted to use this site subject to a waste permit scheme. George Street West Tip is for use with residents from the local area only to dispose of their recyclable items or waste. George Street West  Dump is controlled by Blackburn Council waste management disposal services.
