About Cregagh Household Reuse and Recycling Centre

If you are a resident within Belfast local authority and you have leftover paint from your home you can use the drop-off point on site to pass your paint on to your local scheme in Belfast East. The scheme regularly collects paint from the drop off paint. The paint is then taken back to their premises where it is made available to individuals and groups in need. Unfortunately, our schemes are unable to take paint directly from individuals.

Please note, if you are not a member of this local authority you will not be eligible to access the site. If there is no drop off point in your local authority area you will need to contact them for guidance on what to do with your leftover paint. You can also adapt this template letter to encourage them to consider collecting leftover paint for reuse at their sites.

You can also make it available to other people to use you can post it on local reuse sites such as Freegle and Gumtree.

Please separate your waste and recycling before you arrive at the recycling centre, to reduce any delays on site.

Cars, including cars with single axle trailers under 1.8 metres long, can visit sites without booking.

Vans and light goods vehicles are allowed to bring domestic waste, but must book before visiting a recycling centre. Please read our information and check if you need to book a slot for your vehicle.

Pedestrian access is not allowed at Alexandra Park, Blackstaff Way or Palmerston Road recycling centres for health and safety reasons.

Please show respect for our staff at all times. We have a zero-tolerance policy on work-related violence.

In the event of any queues or delays, please co-operate with any traffic arrangements in place and the instructions from staff to allow vehicles to enter and exit our sites safely.
